I can’t wait for everyone to try @casakaizen, a new plant-based restaurant by Christian Manuel Ventura Alatorre, the creator of @sushimomomtl ! 😍

If you haven’t heard yet, Casa Kaizen will transport you with their Asian tapas that have a Mexican flair. 🤤Their food is so beautiful and innovative and I am so proud to be their photographer! 🥰 If you know me, you know that I only offer my photography services to companies that align with my values and @casakaizen is undeniably one of them.

Last night was their family and friends soft-opening and it was such a blast! 😍 Their menu has been carefully crafted with bold and refined flavours! My family was blown away. Even my step-dad and sister couldn’t believe how good it was and they usually don’t appreciate vegan food. 😜

I know it has been a long time since my last post, but there has been a lot of change in my life and I was taking time off from social media for my mental health, but I also wanted to take time to rethink what my next step should be with this platform. I’ll be talking more about it in my next posts, so stay tuned! I hope you are all taking care of yourselves. 💕

Books that break social stigmas and stereotypes 📚⁣

My friend @odilejp made me discover the amazing @librairieleuguelionne , a feminist and queer bookstore, and it was love at first sight! 😍I have been there several times in the past months to make other friends and family discover it. Every time I go, the booksellers take the time to answer our questions and make great suggestions. 🥰⁣
⁣
@librairieleuguelionne is a non-profit solidarity co-op that has books of all genres and for all ages covering subjects like feminism, LGBTQ+, anti-racism, ecofeminism, etc. I especially love that they host activities like workshops, round table discussions, talks and reading circles. I really wish there were more places like this one that allows us to have important conversations in an accessible way! 🙌🏻⁣

I don’t have kids myself, but I have friends who do, and I think giving them books that break with social stigma is so much better than giving them books of princesses who need rescuing that only reinforce stereotypes. Call me corny, but I always daydream of a world full of compassion, and I believe talking to kids about these subjects from an early age can help.⁣
